Adcox Earns Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ Crown

The Student Government Association (SGA) at The Â鶹ÊÓƵ (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) presented the annual Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ Scholarship Competition Saturday, Nov. 11 on the Hattiesburg campus, with Kat Adcox of Poplarville, Mississippi earning the title.
The Miss Spirit of Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ was awarded to Annalee Toler of Liberty, Mississippi; second alternate was Madison Delancey of Union, Mississippi; and first alternate was Paige McNeil of Bay Springs, Mississippi.
Dylan Littles and Katherine Fasnacht served as student emcees for the event, with featured entertainment presented by student Courtney Francois on the cello, Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ SGA student directors Olivia Dampier and Emma Garner, and Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ 2023 Karsyn Ulmer.

Competition categories included on-stage conversation, health and fitness, talent, and red carpet; private interviews with a panel of judges were conducted earlier in the day.
The Miss Â鶹ÊÓƵ competition is part of the Miss America Organization, and a direct feeder into the Miss Mississippi competition held each June in Vicksburg.
