Bio

Dr. Jennifer Lemacks is an academic leader and scientist focused on advancing cardiometabolic health through community-engaged research, translational science training, and collaborative system improvement. She plays a key leadership role in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Gulf South Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for Community-Engaged Health Research and Innovation and the Jackson Heart Study Graduate Training and Education Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. She also contributes to statewide capacity building through Mississippi INBRE. Her work emphasizes lifestyle interventions, data-driven program evaluation, community trust-building, and preparing diverse trainees for translational and implementation science careers. Dr. Lemacks designs and leads initiatives that integrate research rigor, workforce development, and cross-sector collaboration, strengthening health equity efforts across Mississippi. She is committed to developing the next generation of scientists and advancing research that improves community health in real-world settings.
